Is CosyWall Compliant?

CosyWall Insulation System – CodeMark Certification

Obtaining CodeMark for the CosyWall system is the culmination of 15 years research and development.

CosyWall® insulation is a soft, white, blown mineral wool fibre material which achieves a thermal resistance rating of R2.5-R2.8/100mm.

The CodeMark certification covers the CosyWall® external wall cavity insulation system (EWCIS), a comprehensive system for the retrofitting of insulation into the external walls of existing buildings.

CodeMark CosyWall

It consists of a Building Assessment, drilling the cladding or lining, blowing insulation into the wall cavities and reinstating the cladding or linings to a weathertight state.

The Building Assessment is a pre-assessment of the building to identify any work needed prior to installation of the insulation in order for the requirements of S112 of the Building Act 2004 to be met.

A post assessment is carried out to confirm that the required work has been completed in accordance with the building consent and insulation system requirements.

Homeowners have the assurance that Building Consent Authorities must accept that CosyWall complies with the building code, so as long as it is used in accordance with the uses listed on the certificate.

It also signifies that quality systems and procedures are in place, and this means that builders and architects can specify CosyWall with confidence.
